Frades II Dam
The construction of a dam for hydroelectric production is always a job of large complexity and demand, and Pipemasters played an important role in the construction of the Frades II Dam. In addition to pre-fabrication and site assembly of piping and all inherent structures, Pipemasters also participated in the construction of large structures to support the assembly of large parts (watertight doors, for example). There were more than 15,000 inches of on-site welding.
In this job we had two principals: 95% of the works carried out directly for Voith Hydro and 5% for Siemens SA.
