Level 1 Training in Welding Metal Inert Gas and Metal Active Gas (MIG MAG)
TRAINING AREA

GENERAL PURPOSE
At the end of the training course the trainee must have acquired the basic theoretical notions and practical skills suitable for the 1G, 2G and 3G MIG / MAG welding process.
SPECIFIC PURPOSE
- Understanding the principles of MIG / MAG welding;
- Knowing how to perform corner and butt welds on plate;
- Identifying the main defects in the welds and knowing ways to avoid them.

All those who wish to acquire initial skills in MAG MIG welding.

- Basic principles of the Welding process;
- Welding equipment and consumables;
- Symbology applied to welding and its interpretation;
- Hygiene and safety in the welding process;
- Preparation of joints for welding;
- Corner and butt welding practices on horizontal plate;
- Control and identification of defects.

MIG MAG - Level 2
COURSE NAME
Level 2 Training in Welding Metal Inert Gas and Metal Active Gas (MIG MAG)
TRAINING AREA
Welding
GENERAL PURPOSE
At the end of the training action the trainee must have acquired the theoretical notions and practical skills suitable to the MIG / MAG welding process at positions 4G and 5G.
SPECIFIC PURPOSE
- Understanding the principles of MIG / MAG welding;
- Knowing how to perform vertical and overhead plate welds;
- Identifying the main defects in the welds and knowing ways to avoid them.
ADDRESSEES
This action is intended for all those who already have the basic MIG MAG welding capacities (low and horizontal welding) and wish to evolve to vertical and overhead welding.
PROGRAM CONTENT
- Basic principles of the Welding process;
- Symbology applied to welding and its interpretation;
- Hygiene and safety in the welding process;
- Welding parameters and their regulation;
- Qualification standard for welders - EN 287-1;
- Avoid weld defects;
- Sheet welding practices in vertical ascending and overhead welding;
- Methods of control and identification of defects.

COURSE NAME
Level 3 Training in Welding Metal Inert Gas and Metal Active Gas (MIG MAG)
TRAINING AREA
Welding
GENERAL PURPOSE
At the end of the training action the trainee must have acquired the theoretical notions and practical skills suitable for the TIG welding process in 6G positions.
SPECIFIC PURPOSE
- Understanding the principles of MIG MAG welding;
- Knowing how to perform pipe welds in vertical and 45? positions;
- Identify main defects in welds and knowing ways of avoiding them.
ADDRESSEES
All those who already master the various positions of metal plate welding and intend to evolve to welding piping.
